Telephone Coaching by Skype

A few years ago I was working with a client in lands across the sea who asked a simple question. “How can you help me embed the learning from the recent workshop with the team?” A very reasonable question.

It was at that moment that I thought. Telephone coaching!! Thus the journey started.

Over the last two years I have facilitated over 100 telephone coaching sessions using mainly Skype and of course the humble telephone. The impact on the sustainability of learning is really quite remarkable.

Telephone coaching sessions always follow a workshop that delivers the target subject for the delegate group. Typically 4 weeks after.

Some of the benefits are obvious. Effective utilisation of time. Attendees agree timings one month in advance. Typically each session lasts for 30-45 minutes depending on the client brief. The coaching sessions always use the original workshop material as a point of reference. This is an imperative, as this ensures embedding of the learning and supports practical application in the work place.

Subject matter for the coaching is business specific. This ensures the calls are focused thereby increasing ROI.

Equipment required.  Telephone –landline only – or of course Skype.
